The only thing Emily Romrell loves more than the majestic Utah mountains (or her family) is diving into a good story. She became enchanted with fantasy books in third grade after reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. After that, discovering new worlds in the library became her favorite thing to do and she never looked back. On any given week she might be sailing the ocean with Ishmael in Moby Dick, Climbing a mountain with Rudy in Banner in the Sky, or untying impossible knots with Maniac Magee. And with each new adventure, she wondered, “What if this happened?” So she began some of the greatest exploits of all: writing the stories herself. One of those tales, Bertie Flynn and The Gargoyle Gazette, is in the final stages of being written.
When she’s not writing, Emily enjoys the simple things of life like playing guitar, tromping through those beautiful Utah mountains, or making something tasty in the kitchen. She has a passion for learning new things and a tendency to laugh at her own jokes. But at the end of the day, she’s happiest at home with the people she loves.
