In Better Than Happy, Jody shows how a simple 5-step model she uses in every session with her clients can reveal the unconscious patterns of thoughts that keep us from deeper and healthier connection with ourselves, with our loved ones and with God. Jody then shows how, once we clear the debris of our unconscious patterns of thought, new streams of understanding of Christ’s teachings begin to flow.

First Sentence: On a warm Spring day in May 2014, I walked into a small hotel conference room to begin life coach training.

Thoughts: I think every human on the planet should read this book! If you want to make positive changes in your life or just learn more about how your brain works in real-life situations, this is the book for you. Jody Moore teaches us The Model which is the solution to any problem in your life. This is a thought process created by Jody’s mentor Brooke Castillo. Jody takes her experiences with life coaching and thought work and applies her personal faith-based perspective as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Each chapter in the book shows us how a spiritual principle can be applied practically in everyday life through The Model and other deliberate thought work. If you have an open mind and an open heart, this book truly will change your life for the better.

Favorite Quote: So be patient and compassionate with yourself but open your mind to the idea that you are responsible for every emotion and every result in your life. As you do this, you will become an unstoppable force with the ability to create literally anything you want.
