For the next 30 seconds, close your eyes and visualize waking up in the morning. Imagine everything precisely: the space, the sunlight, the noises. How are you doing? Where and with whom are you? Next envision yourself awakening a year from today… then 10 years. This practice is called  “Episodic Future Thinking” (EFT), commonly referred to as “Mental Time Travel,”. Mental time travel enables your brain to generate intriguing possibilities by contemplating unthinkable things. It’s an effective tool. Use it to make future plans and decisions, prepare yourself for frightening situations, and find the drive to build the life you truly want.
