Thoughts: First off this book shares its concepts in the context of a very cheesy story between fictional characters. I did find myself cringing a little bit at the forced prose.
However, there are many great insights in this book. I’ve had it on my list for a while but avoided reading the book due to the title and my personal hatred of dragging myself out of bed in the morning. But the author makes some compelling arguments about starting the day off very early with a meaningful routine. And there are other great teachings that apply to living your best life in general and not just waking up early.
Favorite Quote: All shadows of insecurity dissolve in the warm glow of persistence.
First sentence: A gun would be too violent.
