Seasons

To everything there is a season,

Someone wiser than me has said

Spring when you wake in the morning,

Winter when you go to bed.

But after Spring has sprung,

And Autumn falls away

Can you bring the seasons back again,

Relive those long lost days?

I’ve seen babes with eyes older than age,

When environment brings frost too soon,

Others in Summer though hair is grey,

Appear to stop the clock at noon.

Physically unable to avoid the passage of time,

We must follow each season around the bend,

But whether inward soul knows Spring or Fall,

Is up to each of us in the end.
